A seasoned veteran with over 30 years of experience in strategy, marketing, innovation, and research, Mark possesses a vast set of skills across a wide range of disciplines. He is an expert in the art and science of insight modeling, research strategy and brand development. Mark has extensive experience in deep-dive fieldwork, concept development and communication strategy. He excels in driving the creation of new human-centered brands and the advancement of innovation pipelines with an emphasis on concept development, ideation, product hedonics and design thinking.
Mark leads a team of highly seasoned consultants, each of whom possess decades of professional experience and an array of skills across a wide range of research and strategic disciplines. With backgrounds in brand management, organizational strategy, business case development, and international sales management, this team forms the core of GLEAN’s consulting and research operations.
Not really. While GLEAN does leverage many traditional quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies, GLEAN is first and foremost a consulting firm. We avoid the outdated transactional model of the market research industry. Instead, we work with our client partners to build real relationships focused on long-term strategic growth.

No. Much of our operational structure is agency-like, and we have partners and associates with deep experience in the agency world. But GLEAN works with our client partners on initiatives that are far upstream from the typical agency work.
We do have many within our ranks with a keen eye for marketing and all things creative. Much of our work translates into marketing plans and advertising strategies, but this is a result of our strategic planning, not our creative acumen.
